Kennesaw State University is set to host an immersive and entertaining German Summer Camp on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 8 am to 5 pm. Titled "Sommer in der Stadt" (Summer in the City), the event is organized by the KSU German Studies program in the Department of World Languages and Cultures of the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The day promises a vibrant blend of music, culture, and summer activities, with a focus on fostering a love for the German language. High school students are invited to participate in the camp, where they will engage in a variety of activities led by KSU German Studies faculty and students. The goal is to make learning German enjoyable while creating an award-winning project by the end of the day.

Participants can look forward to a day filled with creativity and camaraderie on the KSU campus. The program includes socializing over a breakfast snack, meeting organizers to learn about German music and summer culture in Germany, and crafting lyrics, poems, or summer hits for 2024. Lunch at the KSU Commons is provided, and a Campus Scavenger Hunt adds an exciting element to the day, with the chance to win prizes.

The interactive recitation session focuses on honing German pronunciation, projection, and "aesthetic force." The day concludes with participants presenting their creative masterpieces, providing a platform to celebrate their linguistic and artistic achievements. "Herzlichen Glückwunsch!" (Congratulations) echoes the sentiment of success as participants wrap up a day filled with fun, learning, and the spirit of "Sommer in der Stadt."
